Gene Trimble helps remove clown make-up by rubbing baby oil over his face following a performance at the Illinois State Fair. Trimble has been performing at the fair for 45 years as leader of the Gene Trimble Clown Band.
  
Ken and Virginia Belton of Jerome, both 82, were married on June 17, 1943, while Ken was serving as a pilot in the Army Air Corps during World War II. Ken was taken in by the Dutch underground after his B-17 Bomber was shot down over Holland. The Belton's have two daughters, five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

"I always write letters about defending the faith," said Danny Faulkner, a devout Catholic who started writing letters to his local newspaper's editors 45 years ago and by his own count has had 800 to 1,000 published.
  
     
  
When asked what brings him joy, Rabbi Barry Marks said, "Little children - their innocence, sweetness, their curiosity, and their sense of wonder and amazement at the world around them."
